Dr. Malkolm Graffe was born and raised on Vashon Island where his childhood yellow lab, Eddie, inspired him to become a veterinarian. He graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine and is an emergency veterinarian.

Jacquie was raised on a Thoroughbred farm near Gig Harbor, where she grew up with horses, cats, and dogs. After college she spent time working in the sport horse industry before taking an administrative role at a veterinary clinic. She currently manages all the internal operations of Rivers Release.

They have collaborated together to form Rivers Release LLC, a mobile in home pet euthanasia veterinary service, as an alternative to traditional pet euthanasia done at a clinic. They have both loved and lost pets in their lives and feel strongly about providing a service that puts the pet first during their final moments.
